Convention Registration for the 2021 ABCA Convention will open September 1!

The 77th annual ABCA Convention is scheduled to be held January 7-10, 2021 just outside of Washington, D.C. at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center with an accompanying full virtual convention featuring a live stream of all clinics including main stage, Youth Coaches Session, Expo Theater, Q&A sessions and hot stoves. While the COVID-19 situation may cause social distancing limitations, rest assured, the ABCA is prepared to provide great content and resources for our member coaches!

The four-day event will feature more than 50 clinics across the main clinic hall, Youth Coaches Session and Expo Theater that will be available to watch online. Additionally, the ABCA Trade Show will fill up nearly 200,000 square feet with baseball exhibits of the latest products. Furthermore, attendees participate in Question & Answer and Hot Stove Sessions, which will be streamed online as well, and take part in meetings.

We are closely monitoring the recommended guidelines and safety measures for appropriate social distancing and capacity limits on large gatherings. We will update and change our plans, if needed.

What's our Plan?

  1. Option 1: Full Convention in Washington, D.C. with Full Virtual Convention – The ABCA's first option is to host a full Convention with a full Virtual Convention, including all events, on the scheduled dates, January 7-10, 2021 at the Gaylord National. We will be following all guidelines from health officials as well as the facility to hold the safest meeting possible. We will also be live streaming the main stage, Youth Clinic Sessions, Expo Theater, Q&A Sessions and Hot Stoves for any coaches who are registered for the Convention as well as for any coaches who are unable to attend. Early Bird registration, which opens September 1, is $90.
  2. Option 2: Limited Convention in Washington, D.C. with Full Virtual Convention – If social distancing guidelines allow us to hold the 2021 ABCA Convention safely in a limited capacity January 7-10, 2021, we will host the in-person meeting as well as offer a full Virtual Convention. If more coaches register for the in-person event than health officials advise at a later date, registrations will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will also be live streaming the main stage, Youth Clinic Sessions, Expo Theater, Q&A Sessions and Hot Stoves for any coaches who are registered for the Convention as well as for any coaches who are unable to attend. Early Bird registration, which opens September 1, is $90.
  3. Option 3: Full Virtual Convention – We are working on plans to host a full Virtual ABCA Convention in the event that we are not able to host an in-person Convention. This will include clinics, post-clinic Q&As, hot stoves, a Virtual Trade Show, meetings and more! The Virtual Convention will run over the same dates and deliver great content, as usual! Anyone registered for the Convention will be automatically registered for the Virtual Convention. The Early Bird price for the Virtual Convention would be the same, $90.
